The Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca is hosting the second edition of the Ligeti meets UAD exhibition-competition from April 29 to May 18, 2025. The event is organized by the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca (UAD) as part of the fifth edition of the Ligeti Festival Transylvania, themed Kaleidoscope of Virtuosities, organized by the “Transilvania Art and Science” Association in collaboration with the “Gheorghe Dima” National Academy of Music.
Curated by lecturer Adina Șuta, the exhibition showcases the works of over 30 young artists – UAD students at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels – representing all university departments. The selected artworks were chosen from over 100 submissions based on criteria such as relevance to the festival’s theme, artistic concept, and execution quality. The artistic media range widely, including aquatint, charcoal, oil paint, ceramics, embossing, textiles, and digital formats, offering a visual rhythm echoing the musical intricacies of György Ligeti.
