JÓZSEF HALLER RETROSPECTIVE

Opening: July 3, 6 p.m.
July 03, 2024 - July 21, 2024
Opening

József Haller (1935-2017) was a Hungarian artist born is Satu-Mare (Romania), settled in Târgu-Mureș. His specific artistic profile has been determined by this complex process: he was a graphician as well as a painter, sculptor, puppet and stage designer. This present exhibition is intended to give a comprehensive picture of this rich oeuvre, including set and puppet designs, which until now have rarely been on display.

Haller is by all means one of our most universal graphicians with a knowledge competing with that of the Renaissance artists and an end-of-millenium sensitivity [...]. His compositions, whose lines spring from immeasurable depths, make us ponder human existence through the artistic attitude they radiate. (Banner Zoltán)
