The Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca, public cultural entity, operating under the authority of the Cluj County Council, in collaboration with the Barabás Miklós Guild, invites you to the opening of the Annual Art Exhibition of the Barabás Miklós Guild - Cluj group. The event will take place on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 5 p.m. in the temporary exhibition rooms (ground floor) of the Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca.

The largest group, the Cluj group of the Barabás Miklós Guild, organises its traditional exhibition at the beginning of each year. These annual exhibitions offer a wide selection of recent works by artists from Cluj and the surrounding area, with the aim of promoting local artistic values. With no thematic or stylistic restrictions, or age limit, the focus is solely on the quality of the works, presenting a wide and varied range of the members' freshest artworks. Painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, ceramic, glass and textile artists participate with their most significant works made during the past year.

This year's exhibition is a testament to this extraordinary wealth, where visitors can discover a wide variety of techniques, from classical to postmodern. The group of about 60 members of the BMC in Cluj and their guests aim to reveal annually through their ars poetica the most important artistic characteristics of the region in a wide range of genres and styles, offering a rich presentation of contemporary Transylvanian art in the genuine baroque interior.
