The High Light word game, a deconstruction of the Highlight term, proposes an extensive reflection related to the works associated with this exhibition. On one hand, it refers to the decisive contribution of light to the phenomenology of the pictorial work - itself conceived, constructed, communicated and received by the mediation of light. It also emphasizes the unique, exemplary character of artistic creation as a reflection of light and enlightenment. On the other hand, the exhibition highlights how works are stages of a personalized, individual, alchemical process, where light is a permanent mean and reference.
After completing consistent conceptual and stylistic experimentation, as well as numerous refinements as part of their artistic creation, the authors present to the public a selection of recent works that have been grouped together under a generic title that reveals diverse, but complementary discourses. From the perspective of the title, the association of the works highlights the specific creation phase of their authors.
Both in a higher, decisive, ideal, symbolic sense, and through the contribution of the elements that customize and create correspondences in the works of the five artists, the public is encouraged to reflect upon the works of art through the various ”issues of light”, enabling a new and exciting way of accessing them.
