Opening
The Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca invites you to visit, between October 5 and October 16, 2022, the personal exhibition of the artist Dumitru Ivan. The opening will take place on October 5, 2022, from 6 p.m. Dumitru Ivan (born in 1938, Sighișoara) graduated the “Nicolae Grigorescu” Academy of Fine Arts (1960-1966). Between 1966 and 1983, he taught art at the Liberal Arts Institute in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In the last decade of the communism regime, the artist emigrated in United States of America. During his career, he participated to group exhibitions in Romania and abroad (Titograd, Berlin, Tel Aviv, Moscova, Bruxelles, New York). He also had personal exhibitions at New York, Rapid City, Boulder, Essen, Budapesta, Heidelberg, Cluj-Napoca (in 1967, 1968, 1978, 1980, 2005).
Dumitru Ivan’s works hang in fine art museums and galleries in Cluj-Napoca, Galați, Zalău, Brașov, and Bucharest, Romania as well as in numerous private collections in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Belgium, Germany, France, Israel, and the USA.
