The Cluj-Napoca Art Museum, a public institution of county interest, which operates under the authority of the Cluj County Council, organizes, between October 18 and November 12, 2023, the exhibition "Double portrait. Tasso Marchini – Letiția Muntean", which brings together the creation of the artists Tasso Marchini and Letiția Muntean.
Curated by Dr. Dan Breaz, the exhibition brings to the public's attention works of painting, graphics, drawing and watercolor, which played an essential role for the modernization of artistic expression in the Romanian interwar period. On the occasion of the opening on October 18, 2023, at 6 p.m., the catalog album of the exhibition will also be released. The selection of works from the heritage of the Cluj-Napoca Art Museum is completed by an extremely valuable work, "The interior of the church in Rășinari", which appears in the exhibition thanks to the generosity of the collector Ion Socea.
The exhibition "Double portrait. Tasso Marchini – Letitia Muntean" aims to bring back to light the creations of two landmark artists for artistic modernity in interwar Transylvania: Tasso Marchini (1907-1936) and Letitia Muntean (1902-1979).
The exhibition remains open to the public for visiting until November 12, 2023, from Wednesday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 17:00
