Solitude is a tribute to moments of solitude. It is an attempt to describe the state of social absence, in which the images capture nature which, in its solitude, regardless of the season, evokes a sense of timelessness. Landscapes and trees, wrapped in black and white, are a reminder of loneliness, a reminder of beauty. A landscape that captivates the man who longs for solitude. But what actually is loneliness? What does it entail and where does it come from? How do I live it? Do I want her or does she choose me? Am I afraid of her or do I love her? Like the branches of a tree reaching towards the sky, the questions organically and casually intersect, they are born in me and in you. Being alone, just you with your solitude – maybe that's what these photos are about. Forever. To walk through the unruly grass, beneath the ragged clouds, as the colors fade and the world fades and the rustle of the windswept forests whistles in your ears. Time passes slowly, you know that, only to find out with surprise: it's over.

In memory of Béla Ledniczky.
