Opening
The Art Museum Cluj-Napoca organizes, between July 20 and August 6, 2023, the personl exhibition A map of memory / O hartă a memoriei, with works by the artist Alina Staicu (painting). The opening will take place on July 20, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.
Alina Staicu was born in 1982 in Târgu Cărbunești, Gorj county, where she attended first years of school. She started artistical studies at High School of Art inCluj-Napoca, then followed thorough studies at the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca, painting department, at the level of bachelors degree (2005), master and doctorate in 2012. Since 2013, she is a teacher at UAD, Department of Teaching Staff Training.
In parallel with the pedagogical vocation, she carried out a sustained activity of creative exploration in her personal studio, already having a rich exhibitions track record. Thus, she opened personal exhibitions in Art galleries at Bistrița, Oradea, Târgu Jiu, but also in the city of Steyr, Austria.
She participated in numerous aducational or group exhibitions projects, through which her works were exhibited on the simezes in cultural spaces of Baia Mare, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Târgu Jiu, Satu Mare, Zalău, Piatra Neamț, but also in other countries, such as Austria, Italy, Germany, France and Chech Republic.
The exhibition proposed now at the Art Museum in Cluj-Napoca is the result of some creative investigations that have concerned Alina Staicu for several years, still during her doctoral studies. This project started from the reinterpretation of some family photograps as indepensent realities.
