A.B.S.T.R.A.C.T. is an exhibition that creates not only a space of interaction with artists, but a space where ideas in their physical forms shape our mind and understanding about artistic insight and personal approach toward creation. It is not a surprise that the world of A.B.S.T.R.A.C.T. is a colorful and animated one, where shapes and shades offer a universe of expressions filled with deep and sharpen personal or universal truths. Artists are bringing to us not only a physical form of their world, but a spiritual one, where their personality and experience reveal not only the truth behind the creation, but an interconnection of ideas and meaningful opinions. Valeria Bertesina and Sandro Bracchita are bringing to us two distinct but complementary ways of expression, from the same cultural space. Wolfgan Brenner’s work is a reminder that not everything is like a well-constructed sentence or a perfect manicured nail, sometimes evolution and expression are under the sign of a permanent under construction and their physical boundaries are not definitive. Zoran Jakimovski, Tom Chambers, Norma de Backinghe, Hayri Esmer are using geometry, lines and sharp edges to express their feelings. Their messages and artworks are expressions of a structure that have its own life and beyond the boundaries of the canvas or workspace, a two-dimension representation of some individual beliefs and life perspectives. Vladimiro Elvieri and Zsolt Gyenes are using the geometrical views, offering an image that is suggesting the existence of a network that interconnect the artistic universe point with each other’s, creating a physical interconnection. Qi Luo and Tian Luo are speaking in an artistic language that is different from the ones mentioned above, their view is shifted to a spiritual and sensitive dimension of the expression. In some way their approach to the world of art is similar with the one of Yoshikatsu Tamekane and Adrian Timar, where the pure abstract is clothed in a refined way that is in contrast with the sometime brutal form of the world of abstract art. In this battle of expression styles and construction of artworks, we find Ovidiu Petca and Károly-Zöld Gyöngyi digital approaches, somewhat distant and futuristic, marked by the universe of technology and its specific sharpening tools. It is clear that A.B.S.T.R.A.C.T. is a multispectral approach toward artistic creation, where the spirit and thought are sharpened by cultural impact by the personal experience and specific style of each artist. All of the 58 artists and their 89 artworks, even if I did not mention them in the paragraphs above, are bringing in front some excellent artworks, marked not only by their in-depth knowledge, but also by their spirit and personality. .[Attila Iakob]
