ROMANIA’S NATIONAL CULTURAL DAY

On the occasion of the celebration of the 12th edition of the “National Cultural Day”, on Saturday, January 15, 2022, the Art Museum in Cluj-Napoca proposes to the public an encounter with a truly unique Romanian architectural monument, “St. Nicholas Church in the village of Densuş”, under the signature of the gifted Bohemian painter Venceslav Melka (1834-1911), one of the traveling artists (foreign painters and drawers) of the nineteenth century who roamed the lands of our country, being attracted by the beauties of nature and the picturesque local specificity, little known at that time. The painting will remain on display until the end of January.
