Contest: “Look, Reflect, Write!”

The painting and drawing exhibition *Interval* by artist Radu Șerban is on view at the Cluj-Napoca Art Museum until July 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

The Museum, as the hosting institution, and the Cultural Association Continuum, which supported the organization of the exhibition and the publication of the catalog, invite you to take part in a challenge in the form of a contest of artistic observation and reflection.

The prize of the contest consists of the exhibition catalog, which will be awarded to the selected winner(s).

What you need to do:

1. Write a short essay reflecting on how you relate to the exhibition, its themes, and the way the works are made and presented.

2. Identify an element that typically contributes to the identification of a painting, but which is missing or appears only rarely on the surface of the artworks in this exhibition.

3. Identify the works in which the concept of the “interval” (the central theme of the exhibition) is associated with the notions of *time* and *succession*. Although several works may respond to these criteria, please refer only to those in which the relationship is explicitly and programmatically expressed.
